As owners of the Gannabos quiver tree forest we have erected a fence to protect this conservation area for future generations.
ONLY GUESTS STAYING AT GANNABOS GUEST HOUSES WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE FOREST ALL YEAR ROUND.
The forest will be open to the general public from the 7th of August till the 18th of September 2026 from 08:00 - 17:00. Entry fee is R75 per person.

The two camping sites are situated near the Kareeboom Schoolhouse - each has its own, separate ablution facilities. These sites cater for two or four separate off-road caravans/bush lapas.

There are no electricity points available. Wood can be purchased for braai fires. No cell phone reception is available, but free Wi-Fi can be accessed.

The campsite is 13km from the world's largest quiver tree forest, accessible to both hikers and for the less energetic it is only a short, scenic drive away.

Facilities include a toilet, basin and shower and a separate sink for washing dishes and laundry. There is a gas geyser providing hot water and a washing line to dry laundry.
